Comcast accepting tenants for LIFT Labs accelerator

Comcast Corporation has a lot going on in 2018.

For one, the media and tech company topped off their new Technology Center skyscraper in late December 2017. The building is the third tallest in the country.

They are also accepting applications for their startup accelerator program, LIFT Labs. The program, which will be run by Techstars, is designed to help entertainment and media startups.

“I’m excited to combine Techstars’ proven startup accelerator program with the wisdom of Comcast NBCUniversal’s industry leaders and domain experts,” Maya Baratz Managing Director of the Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs Accelerator in a Philadelphia Magazine article. “Not only a powerful media and distribution company, Comcast NBCU also been developing technology with people of all demographics and abilities in mind.”

Tech startups from across the world that are focused on accessibility tech, wireless communication systems, robotics, digital wellness, blockchain, and the future of entertainment, among other fields, are being encouraged to apply.

Comcast is one of approximately 25 Fortune 1000 companies located in the Greater Philadelphia region.
