Princeton HealthCare System (PHCS) and its affiliates officially became a part of Penn Medicine early this month.
PHCS currently employs 3,000 staff members and serves 1.3 million residents in New Jersey. The health system, located approximately 40 miles outside of Philadelphia in Mercer County, NJ, will now be called Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center.
“The joining together of Princeton HealthCare System and Penn Medicine represents an exciting new chapter in Penn Medicine’s growth,” said Ralph Muller, CEO of Penn Medicine in a press release. “Now, we can offer a powerful partnership to patients throughout the region PHCS serves, continuing the services they already depend on, coupled with access to world-class care for complex conditions and innovative clinical trials available at Penn Medicine.”
Penn Medicine has been consistently ranked as a top national health system, with their med school. Perelman School of Medicine, ranking as a top 5 medical school in the nation.
