Adare Pharma Solutions, a member of The Chamber of Commerce from Greater Philadelphia (the Chamber) and a global leader in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing, has relocated its headquarters to Pennsylvania. This move marks a significant milestone for Adare, Pennsylvania, and the Greater Philadelphia region, underscoring the area’s growth and prominence in the life sciences industry.

According to JLL’s annual analysis, Greater Philadelphia now ranks as the #8 U.S. life science cluster, moving up one spot from last year and surpassing New York City. 

It also reaffirms Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and his administration’s commitment to investing in the state’s life science sector. 

“My Administration is all in on growing the life sciences industry in Pennsylvania – because I know it’s a crucial part to fostering economic growth in Pennsylvania,” Shapiro said at the opening of One City Square last year.

Since taking office, Shapiro has secured over $2 billion in private-sector investments. 

Adare’s headquarters relocation also includes the establishment of two significant manufacturing and packaging facilities in Philadelphia: a 175,000 sq. ft. site and a 128,000 sq. ft. facility, which is expected to create 115 new Pennsylvania jobs.

The company’s growth has been supported by a $2.4 million loan from the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development’s (PA DCED) Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA), a $460,000 Pennsylvania First Program (PA First) grant, and a $100,000 workforce development grant to train new employees. 

The relocation was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by DCED Secretary Rick Siger, representatives of the Chamber, which supported the move, and Adare Pharma CEO Tom Sellig, along with additional members of the Adare team and partner organization leaders. 

Sellig expressed his enthusiasm for the new headquarters home in the heart of the Greater Philadelphia region, stating, “The presence of great universities and numerous pharma tech companies in the area is tremendous. Our collaborations with scientists, operational teams, and other service providers in the region are invaluable.”
