The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia (the Chamber) has launched a new regional talent attraction campaign – Stay for Philly. This initiative builds on the region’s renowned tourism campaign, ‘Come for Philadelphia, Stay for Philly,’ but shifts the focus to transforming top talent into permanent residents.
Developed in partnership with Visit Philadelphia, the Chamber’s Stay for Philly campaign also draws inspiration from its tourism campaign model by juxtaposing well–known reasons Greater Philadelphia is a great place to live and work with lesser–known regional career and quality of life amenities. (For example, Come for the Tech Field. Stay for the Magic Gardens.)
Dedicated Microsite & Social Media Channels
The centerpiece of the ‘Stay for Philly’ campaign is a new dedicated microsite, StayforPhilly.com, which aims to be an all-encompassing digital destination to aid top talent in realizing their potential in Greater Philadelphia.
The site features a comprehensive overview of the region’s vast career opportunities and unsurpassed quality of live amenities, including insights on the region’s leading technology and life sciences industries, excellence in all levels of education, access to quality medical care, and endless entertainment.
The site also includes interactive tools for job seekers to make decision-making around relocation to Greater Philadelphia even easier. These tools include a Cost of Living Calculator that allows users to compare how far their salary would go in Greater Philadelphia versus other U.S. regions (spoiler: Greater Philadelphia has a lower cost of living than peer regions, including New York City, Boston, and Washington D.C.). Additionally, a Neighborhood Quiz creates a choose-your-adventure path to finding your perfect community among the region’s 11 counties and three states, and job boards in tech and life sciences.
In addition to the microsite, the campaign includes Stay for Philly social media accounts on Instagram and LinkedIn, which provide talent with a glimpse of what the region has to offer, and an employer toolkit to support local companies in delivering the top reasons for relocating here to talent.
Spotlight at SXSW
The Chamber’s talent and business attraction team will attend South by Southwest (SXSW) on March 9 and 10, 2025, in Keystone House, representing the Greater Philadelphia region. There, they will promote the ‘Stay for Philly’ campaign and engage with potential talent and industry leaders, demonstrating why Greater Philadelphia is a top choice for career growth and personal fulfillment.
