Pharmaceutical development and manufacturing company Almac Group is investing $24.4 million into their Montgomery County, PA-based U.S. headquarters and plans to add 312 new jobs in the next three years.
“Due to significant industry demand for our services, it is essential we build capacity and increase headcount to ensure we continue to compete at a global level,” said the company’s CEO Alan Armstrong in a Philadelphia Business Journal article. “This investment signifies our confidence in the pool of talent and skills right on our doorstep.”
The physical expansions will include an extended cold storage area and new computer equipment, software, and machine lines.
Almac is one of more than 800 life sciences companies that employ over 49,000 people and one of 5,500 manufacturing establishments that employ 185,000 in the region.
