Apartment development projects are popping up all over Greater Philadelphia, nowhere more noticeably than in King of Prussia. There are currently six new multifamily projects that are under construction in the area, with a total of 2,000 new units underway.
“I think King of Prussia is the Tyson’s Corner [Virginia] for our region,” said David Della Porta, head of Cornerstone, in a Philadelphia Business Journal article. “It’s the only real suburban city we have and I think it’s under-served by new apartments.”
These multifamily apartments will serve the influx of people moving into the Greater Philadelphia region; Montgomery County’s population grew from 799,873 in 2010 to an estimated 819,264 in 2015, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Real estate developments will continue to grow with the population as more and more people come to live, work, play, and raise their families in Greater Philadelphia.
