Numerous Philadelphia-area fintech companies are planning to hire in 2017.
eMoney Advisor, a company that provides software for financial advisors and their clients, hired 100 new employees in 2016 and plans to do the same this year. They doubled their office space last year by moving to Radnor, Pa. in order to accommodate future growth.
Vertex is likewise planning to hire about 100 new employees in 2017. The company, a provider of tax compliance software, is moving into a 150,000 square feet space in the Renaissance Corporate Center in King of Prussia later this year.
“We have increased the number of people we’ve hired every year and I think so have other local companies in our space,” said David Henkin, Vertex Vice President and General Manager in a Philadelphia Business Journal article.
Investment management company SEI Investments Co. is also bringing on 200 new workers this year, following their five year hiring streak. Colleen Stratton, Global Human Resources leader of the company’s workforce development team, states that this trend can be attributed to the high concentration of colleges and universities in the region producing a largely talented workforce.
